Environmental reporting

Helping your organisation reduce its carbon footprint

Climate change is the biggest global challenge of our times. If we work together to reduce carbon emissions and adapt to change, we can prevent climate change from making our planet uninhabitable.

In order to reduce carbon emissions, you first need to understand where they’re coming from. We refer to the measuring, monitoring, and reduction of carbon emissions as ‘carbon management’. Here you can find advice and resources on:

Guidance for reporting organisations
Guidance specifically for organisations required through their funding agreements to report on their emissions and develop a carbon management plan, such as Creative Scotland RFOs, organisations receiving cultural funding from City of Edinburgh Council and Edinburgh festivals reporting to Festivals Edinburgh.

Environmental reporting framework
The framework for environmental reporting for the arts, screen and creative sector in Scotland, giving an overview of the areas of operations we define as being within the reporting scope and to give the technical or legislative reasoning for each of these.
