BUGS and live tasting at Glasgow Film

With the UN estimating that food production will need to increase 70% to feed the planet by 2050, the daily reality of insects as a foodstuff may not be far away. Enter two indefatigable chef researchers, who travel the globe in search of great tastes and sustainable production models – even if it means crispy creepy-crawlies or succulent wriggling maggots. A timely, entertaining documentary to make you think twice about what you’re prepared to put on your plate.

Following the screening, representatives from Edinburgh-based environmental group Bugs for Life will present a short video on their work on sustainable foods, plus a Q&A and a tasty sample!

Glasgow Film are also offering *discounted* tickets for Creative Carbon Scotland friends – just use code ‘20175’ at the online checkout to get a £5 ticket (reduced from £9.50)!

This event is part of Glasgow Film’s Nordic-Baltic Film Festival. GFT is a member of our Green Arts Initiative, and you can read about their sustainability work in our case study here.
