Supporting Carbon Management in the Creative Sector

Creative Scotland announce Carbon Management requirement

From 2018 onwards Creative Scotland will require all Regularly Funded Organisations to develop plans to reduce the carbon impact of at least one aspect of their activities. Open Project and Target funded organisations will also be encouraged to develop plans for reducing their carbon on a voluntary basis. Carbon reduction plans can be modest or ambitious but above all should be realistic, achievable and measurable.

Creative Carbon Scotland are launching a new Carbon Management Tool – A recording and planning tool, developed for cultural organisations, which will allow you to integrate your existing recording with new planning work to help you identify and assess reduction projects.

Carbon Management will also be a key topic at the Green Arts Conference in Glasgow this November, with presentations of the tool and specific sessions to develop understanding of how to start planning.

We will follow this up with two webinars as an opportunity for early adopters to find out more about the Carbon Management tool and to pilot and improve our support.

Sign up for the webinars which will help you to understand:

  • How to evaluate your current carbon footprint
  • How to develop your plans and projects
  • How to evaluate the emissions impact and cost of your chosen project with our easy to use Carbon Management Tool
  • How to turn your plans into actions
