Common Cause: Understanding values to change the world

EAUC logo

This is a full day of training helping you to identify and tap into a common set of values, we all share, which are called compassionate values. These underpin much social and environmental concern. Strengthening and giving voice to these values will help to create responses to a wide range of social and environmental challenges.

Values represent our guiding principles: our broadest motivations, influencing the attitudes we hold and how we act. Our values have a powerful influence over our choices and this workshop helps you use values to inform effective action.

Who Should Attend?

This Common Cause workshop is relevant for those working with communities on behaviour change related to tackle climate change. It will:

  • Introduce participants, briefly, to research on values
  • Introduce participants to how values can affect the meaning and influence of our communications
  • Offer participants the opportunity to work through the implications of actively including their values in funding proposals, messaging and projects
