Fields of Green: Songwriter’s Circle

Celtic Connections brings ‘Fields of Green’ to Platform Glasgow.

In this unique show, a group of Scotland’s finest songwriters, Rachel Sermanni, Louis Abbott (Admiral Fallow), RM Hubbert, The Pictish Trail and Jo Mango, will premiere a series of brand new songs inspired by their travels as musicians.

All five musicians have been tracking their movements across the festival season and writing songs that explore their lifestyles ‘on the road’, reflecting on whether they affect, influence, shape or are shaped by discussions around the environment and climate change. As well as performing these songs, they will use a classic songwriter’s circle forum to discuss their songwriting process and share fascinating reflections on their songs (old and new).

This one-off evening of music and artist discussion promises to be an enlightening debate as well as a night of beautiful music.

Of course our famous Mono Bus will be running to bring you to the gig and safely back afterwards. The Mono Bus departs from outside Mono Cafe Bar/ Monorail at 7pm and returns after the gig. Bus tickets are £5 return are available from Monorail or Platform Box office.

Event tickets are available from glasgowconcerthalls online, Platform box office, Monorail and Tickets Scotland.
