food/play/food  Hungry City: Lunchtime Book Club

A collaborative Food and Design workshop. Based on quotes selected from the book ‘Hungry City’ by Carolyn Steel, participants will use design and systems thinking to explore potential solutions to food system issues. No previous design experience necessary.

The Hungry Cities design workshop will be preceded by a free Lunchtime Book Club, in which participants will share lunch and discuss themes of the book.

This short programme as part of the CCA Cooking Pot series to coincide with the theme of ‘Political Animal’, questions the role design can play in changing our relationship with food, the city and our communities. The series is designed by Steph Marsden of food/play/food to engage members of the public to with themes that link food, the city and our roles as political animals.
