Glasgow Green Tease: Paper kiln making with Teena Gould

We’re very excited to invite you to our next Glasgow Green Tease on Thursday 25th September, 4 – 6pm, at Glasgow Sculpture Studios. This time we’ll be having an interactive making session with ceramist Teena Gould – a sculptural ceramist who has worked extensively in the field of Public and Community Arts, with a focus in collaborative projects.

In quite a packed session we’ll be exploring the use of found materials in ceramic making and firing, using newspaper to create elements for paper kilns, and clay to make individual objects for baking.

We hope to run a paired Green Tease session in November to light the kilns and fire our made products! Throughout, we’ll also be discussing the sustainability relevance of using found materials in artistic practice, their influence on the creative process, and their practical applications.

As always, Green Tease is open to anyone interested in exploring what roles artists and artistic organisations can play in growing a more sustainable Glasgow so please pass this on to anyone you think would like to join us. We really want to hear your views and hope you can join us and contribute to the event.

Please RSVP to by 24th September. We look forward to seeing you there!
