Members of the Green Arts Initiative are invited to join us for our December online meetup.
Have you written a carbon management plan, but are now struggling to implement it? Do you know you need to reduce your carbon, but are not sure where to start? Do you need some ideas or motivation for carbon reduction in the new year?
This session is for:
- RFOs and City of Edinburgh Council-funded organisations who recently submitted a carbon management plan update, and are now working on putting their plans into action.
- Any cultural organisations who aren’t yet required to submit a carbon management plan, but would like to create one voluntarily, to get ahead of the curve.
Caro Overy, Carbon Management Officer and Amanda Grimm, Transformation of Culture Officer will facilitate the discussion, offer suggestions and recommend sources of additional support. Iain Phillips, a data analyst who works with Creative Carbon Scotland, will provide some tips on data management and on how to improve data quality.
Organisations with existing carbon management plans will be invited to share the focus of their plans and discuss the challenges they are facing in putting them into practice.
Book your space through Eventbrite and you will receive a link to join an online call, which will be sent out again 15 minutes before the meetup. You do not need to download an app or programme to join the call; you just need a computer or other device with internet connection, speakers, and a microphone.
Green Arts Meetups are informal online gatherings for staff of Scotland’s arts and culture organisations, each focusing on different aspects of the intersection between culture and environment. Started at the beginning of lockdown, they are a chance for members of the Green Arts Initiative to keep in touch with each other and continue to share green arts skills and knowledge. Please contact email@example.com if you have any questions about an upcoming meetup, or if you would like to suggest a future meetup topic or event co-host a meetup!
This online event is for Green Arts Initiative members. If you work for a cultural organisation, which is not yet a member of the Green Arts Initiative, you can join the initiative here.
