Green Tease: ‘A Space for Art’ with Dress for the Weather

Join Creative Carbon Scotland and Glasgow-based design practice Dress the Weather for our September Green Tease and a practical model-making workshop that explores the East End of Glasgow in relation to art and design.

In this session Dress for the Weather are interested in exploring what space art has in the continuing development of urban areas but also what physical space art can occupy within the city.

The workshop will take place at new artists studios on East Campbell Street in the Barras. The space has recently been completed by studio provider Glasgow Collective Studios with Dress for the Weather as architects for the project.

Participants will be introduced to architectural representation, model making and urban planning as well as work with Dress for the Weather on developing our ideas on how art and architecture can be combined. We are keen to explore collaborative working within the workshop and would welcome a range of backgrounds and experience levels to join us at the workshop.

Dress for the Weather work in the fields of architecture and art to produce work which engages with and responds strongly to its context. Our architectural work seeks to construct buildings which are beautifully equipped for their climate, culture, economy and place while our work in the arts experiment with spatial conditions and the existing fabric of places. All of our work follows a consistent ethos: to dress for the weather.

Free to attend. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided!
