Mona Kastell is an ecoscenographer based in Edinburgh with a strong interest in socially and ecologically conscious design and how these practices can contribute to sustainability more widely in society.
Last year Mona undertook the MA Ecological Design Thinking course at Schumacher College, England, renowned for its cutting-edge learning based around ecology and sustainability. Now back in Scotland, she’s keen to put her learning into practice, placing interconnectivity and authentic community engagement at the heart of her making process.
Learn more about Mona’s journey as a designer and discuss different approaches to integrating environmental sustainability principles within artistic practices. The talk will be followed by a short, informal workshop with participants. Tea and biscuits provided.
