Murmur – artists reflect on climate change

5th August – 16th September

An Talla Solais - workshops & events

Sarah Gittins, Chloe Lewis, Ellis O’Connor, Meg Rodger and Saule Žuk

In April 2017, five artists together with a curator, and An Talla Solais’ exhibitions coordinator, embarked upon a peer-learning programme that will lead to a summer exhibition at ATS running for six weeks from 5 August.

From Here to There: a community print project (part of ATS’s Murmur exhibition)

An Talla Solais - workshops & events 1

Come and be part of a giant community print!  Spend an hour or two printmaking, musing, and enjoying some company or a quiet corner. Facilitated by Jonathan Baxter and Sarah Gittins, the Community Print project is open to all ages and abilities. As well as providing an opportunity to learn more about climate change participants will be introduced to different printmaking techniques and encouraged to contribute to the realisation of a large-scale Community Print to be sited in Ullapool’s Ferry Terminal. This is a free activity.

In addition to these events, ATS has a Talk and film night: Storytelling and Deep Time and a Deep Time and Biodiversity Walk in partnership with Scottish Natural Heritage.

To find all of ATS’s summer activities, visit their website here.

Join us and ATS in Ullapool on 19 August for our Green Tease: To See, Know, and Act – Creativity, Climate Change and Community, as part of the Murmur – Artists Reflect on Climate Change exhibition.
