Having made a start on your green activities, make communicating about your green work a standard part of your organisation’s practice. Tell audiences, artists and new staff members both about what you are doing and what they can do to help.
Some of the most important things to include are:
– Include information about your green work on your website. Think about success stories which you want others to know about such as financial savings your organisation has made through energy reductions;
– Have clear signage around your building and/or offices with updates on how your organisation is performing in areas such as recycling and building energy management;
– When inducting artists, staff and visitors have a couple of your green success stories to hand;
– Make sure artists, staff and visitors are aware of what they can do to help by showing them your recycling facilities, providing helpful information on public transport and other similar activities.
