Encourage audience members to use electronic publicity materials rather than paper. Additionally think about how you can use social media such as Facebook and Twitter to engage wider audiences in your organisation and reduce your print runs.
Work with your communications/publicity team to develop digital publicity materials, and then offer audiences subscribed to your print brochure the choice of a digital brochure instead. Festivals Edinburgh has a dedicated Innovation Lab which for some organisations may be able to help you develop digital and mobile publicity. Also see the “Publicity” action list for more ideas.
Building a social media presence is of course now also an important marketing strategy, and can be used to reduce the reliance on print as well as reaching new audiences. If you have not already done so set up Facebook and/or Twitter accounts and update them regularly with relevant material relating to your organisation.
