Creative Carbon Scotland’s Ben Twist will be taking part in Enterprise Music Scotland’s 2017 event Train and Sustainability, working with chamber music ensembles and musicians across Scotland.
Train and Sustainability will provide training in leading music based outdoor learning projects. Participants will work with Ben Twist (Creative Carbon Scotland) and Alec Thompson-Miller (ACE Voices Aberdeen) to explore outdoor learning and look at ways in which music can help children connect with nature and the environment.
This is not just a one-day training event, Train & Sustainability consists of:
• Training Day –A day of facilitated presentations, discussion and practical ‘hands-on’ workshops from course trainers designed to help you develop and design your own learning experiences to deliver on placements.
Glasgow, Sunday August 13th 2017.
• Placement – You will be provided will a chance to put your new skills into practice in a supported environment. Participating musicians will work with the same group once a week to deliver a 4 week long outdoor learning project. These paid placements will take place at primary schools in East Dunbartonshire between August 28th and September 21st.
• Plenary – A half-day of facilitated discussion, further training and peer to peer sharing reflecting on each ensemble’s experiences and learning on their placements.
