Opportunity: Open call for artists – Climate Lab

29th November 2018

Open call to join a four-day intensive LAB, creating a forum for discussion and experimentation; a supportive and open space to think, get angry, make mess and mistakes, and explore strategies for new artworks and interventions in society.

From the 5th to the 8th of March 2019, Metal Liverpool will host ’12-years LAB – A call to action in response to climate change’.

In light of the recent UN’s assertion that we only have twelve years left to act against climate change in order to avoid disaster, this Lab will investigate how artists can positively affect change in society in response to this universal challenge.
The Lab will gather artists of all practices for four days of reflection, discussions and project-building; keynote speakers influential in the field will also be sharing their experience and provide their input.

There are 8 places available for UK-based artists. More information and application details here: http://www.metalculture.com/projects/12-years-lab-a-call-to-action-in-response-to-climate-change

The deadline for applications is Midday on Tuesday 11th of December.
