Wester Hailes cultural anchor organisation is seeking to identify a new Chair for its Board of Directors.

Exciting times ahead at WHALE Arts as announce they are seeking a new Chair for their Board of Directors coinciding with the launch their new five-year strategic plan.

WHALE Arts is the cultural anchor organisation for Wester Hailes. It is a community-led arts charity and social enterprise, set up by local people in 1992. Their mission is to be the creative heart of a vibrant, thriving community.

After 10 years of service, current Chair Michelle Herron is stepping down in November 2019. She has overseen the organisation’s development and growth through a challenging third sector landscape, enabling WHALE’s strategic planning process that sets out the organisation’s plans and aspiration to 2024.

WHALE Arts invites applications from suitably experienced individuals by Friday 17th October, 12 noon.
