Creative Carbon Scotland's Guide to being a Green Champion

Green Champions are staff members of an organisation who want to go a step further than just reducing their personal environmental impact.

They help to promote sustainability initiatives in their workplace, engaging other members and acting as a contact for those wanting to take action.  Your role as Green Champion can develop both the environmental responsibility of your organisation, and your individual skills. It can be a great way to meet new people, and affect high-level change.

As a Green Champion, the work you do is highly dependent on your organisation and its current involvement with sustainability. However, we’ve put together some key actions and first steps for Champions to develop their role and increase the efforts of their organisation.

In this guide, you will a variety of information on being a Green Champion, including:

  • How to connect with Creative Carbon Scotland, and other Green Champions across the sector
  • Where to start in sustainability
  • How to grow the reach of your green work
  • How to measure your progress using tools designed for the arts
