We provide a range of training and support opportunities to help arts organisations measure, report and reduce their carbon emissions
We have lots of resources and practical tools available to help you embed environmental sustainability into your working practices and learn from the work of others.
We work with artists from a range of disciplines to explore how their practices could respond to questions of sustainability and climate change through residencies, events and commissions.
We support cultural organisations to consider their roles in the transition to a more sustainable society through practical environmental reporting, carbon reduction and communicating with audiences.
We work with funders and policy makers to advocate for the role of the arts and culture in the transition to a more environmentally sustainable society and embed sustainable practices at a strategic level.
29th January 2013
On the 28th January the fourteen projects which will receive funding from the Year of Natural Scotland were announced. Many of the projects will be based in or near recognised natural parks, reserves, trails and other famous parts of Scotland with festivals, installations, musical pieces, light shows and dance productions to come over the next year. Locations for the projects include the Shetlands, Loch Lomond, the Isle of Lewis and East Lothian.
The Scotsman have published a full coverage of the selected projects. Click here to read more.
We believe cultural and creative organisations have a significant influencing power to help shape a sustainable Scotland for the 21st century.
